On September 20th, our organization held a volunteer appreciation BBQ at Dufferin Grove Park. The event was a smashing success, with staff and volunteers alike showing up to enjoy a night of food, fun, and socialization.
Events like this are so important for building community and giving thanks to the tireless work our volunteers put in on a weekly basis. Without their dedication and hard work, our organization simply wouldn't be able to do what we do. This event was just a small way to show our appreciation and say thank you to all the amazing volunteers who make our work possible.
As the night went on, we laughed, shared stories, and enjoyed each other's company, over s'mores, burgers, and non-alcoholic beverages. It was a wonderful reminder of the power of community and the importance of taking the time to appreciate the people who make our work possible. We're already looking forward to our next volunteer appreciation event and can't wait to see what other amazing things our volunteers will accomplish in the meantime.
