Team Volunteer Opportunities


Our Team Volunteer Day Program offers a variety of group volunteer opportunities, both on-site at our downtown Toronto location, or at the location of your choice. They offer a rewarding opportunity  to gain a deeper understanding of food insecurity, barriers our clients face to access services, and the work that Parkdale Community Food Bank does to ensure our community members receive nutritious food with choice, dignity, and respect. Furthermore, they offer team bonding experiences for companies, families, and friend groups alike.


On-Site Team Volunteer Day Opportunities

Location: 5 Brock Avenue, Rear Unit, M6K 2K6

Group Size: 5-25 people


We offer Team Volunteer opportunities on-site every Tuesday and Friday morning. During your Team Volunteer Day, you will assist us in managing and preparing for our service days by receiving donations, organizing the warehouse, bagging food, sorting items, and setting up our grocery area.


Leading up to your volunteer day, we ask that your team support the food bank through making one of the following contributions to our essential work in Parkdale:

  • Coordinate a food drive at your office! We will provide you with a list of the food bank’s most needed items and the resources you need to get started. Then, bring the food donations with you on your volunteer day. (Suggested donation: $700 value in food)

  • We can generate a custom fundraising page for your team! Use this page to fundraise for the food bank leading up to your volunteer day. We can customize your page with all of your company’s branding, photos, colours etc. (Suggested fundraising goal: $700)

  • We can invoice your company for a contribution to the Parkdale Community Food Bank. (Suggested donation: $700)




Global Team Volunteer Opportunities with Kits for a Cause

Location: Anywhere!

Group Size: 30 -3,000 people


If you are a volunteer group interested in opportunities for larger groups at your office, school, or outside Toronto, the Parkdale Community Food Bank Kits for a Cause Program could be the perfect fit for you.  Our Kits for a Cause Program is an engaging group volunteering and team building activity. Through this program, volunteers will have the opportunity to help assemble ‘care kits’ that directly meet the needs of our community members. 


Whether you are volunteering with friends, family, colleagues, or on your own, PCFB’s Kits for a Cause Program is the perfect group volunteer opportunity for those who are unable to volunteer through our on-site Group Volunteer Opportunities.
