CLIENT & VOLUNTEER ADVISORY COMMITTEE

​Minimum Requirements: 

  1. All members of the committee must be above 18 years of age

  2. All members must identify as a client of the Parkdale Community Food Bank, a volunteer of the Parkdale Community Food Bank, or both.

Key Objectives:

  1. Provide feedback and advice on ideas for initiatives, policies and programs that enhance the mandate of the Parkdale Community Food Bank.

  2. Serve as a resource for communication to and from PCFB’s client and volunteer community on matters (such as: Key challenges, Changing population needs, Emerging opportunities, Implementation of PCFB’s strategic plan + more)

  3. Provide input on issue-specific matters as identified by the Board and/or Executive Director from time to time regarding current and emerging issues facing the food bank.

The mandate of the committee is to provide client & volunteer input and perspectives on matters that impact the operations and strategic priorities of the food bank. The committee is made up of 10 seats. Candidates are randomly selected for their roles should they meet the minimum requirements.

The committee will meet at least 4 times per calendar year. Additional meetings may be called by the chair or requested by the Parkdale Community Food Bank Board of Directors. Committee members will receive an honorarium of $50 per meeting. Meals will be provided at all meetings. Travel required to participate in face to face meetings will be covered in full by the Parkdale Community Food Bank.
